ACT bans fireworks

The ACT Government has banned the use of fireworks on the Queen's Birthday long weekend from, and including, 2010.

After talking about a potential ban for many years the Government has finally regulated to prohibit the importation, sale or use of fireworks in the Territory.

The Northern Territory is now the only Australian state or territory which still allows the sale of fireworks.
